Snow on the ground and
freezing temperatures complete the sights and sounds of Christmas. Notice the
tinsel-decorated shops, the carols on the radio or the festive lights as we
drive around the city, you get the feeling that we have just entered in the most
wonderful time of the year.

were in a small fishing boat and it was dark. Darkness heightened or magnified
their sense of fear.

Christian observed as he toured churches in North America. The observation goes
like this and I paraphrase… It’s amazing
what the church can do around here without God. Ouch!

Read: John 21: 15-19
It started out as a normal visit to the
dealership. My car would be prepared for winter. I took a book along for
reading while I waited. However, I also seek to pray for those whom I meet, including
those with whom I might contact at the dealership. After reading for a few moments,
I stood up and walked around to look at show room cars and talk to a sales
person.

It was
around the year 2000 and it was one unforgettable day!
I had just
returned to my birthplace — a town nestled in scenic hills and below some
soaring cliffs on the edge of an arm of the Atlantic ocean. One such soaring
cliff seemed impossible to climb when I was a little boy growing up near one of
my favorite beaches. The cliff was high;
the rock face was rugged and precipitous. The bush below was dense and
seemingly impenetrable.
